About Caroline Newns
Caroline Newns is an experienced and much valued consultant who challenges, supports and inspires business leaders and senior decision-makers. She has worked with a wide variety of organisations ranging from international corporates and UK SMEs through to ‘not-for-profit’ and charitable concerns.
With a Master’s Degree specialising in Organisational Change Management from the University of London, she is a Fellow of the RSA (The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce).
Due to her academic and early professional roles, Caroline was appointed as a Senior Policy Advisor at the CBI before gaining substantial commercial experience at the head office of Volkswagen UK and within the Volkswagen/Audi dealer network.
Caroline then worked with international and UK blue-chip clients within a global Strategic Management and IT consultancy. Whilst this allowed her to hone her consultancy skills, she became aware that in order to offer a more bespoke approach to her clients, she should work independently.
Caroline created her own consultancy operation in 1995.
In 2016, whilst continuing to support a substantial client portfolio, she was appointed to teach and mentor on Master’s Degree Programmes at the Lancaster University School of Management (LUMS).
On a personal level, Caroline is a keen musician and is a member of the Association of British Choral Directors, performing at various venues in Lancaster and across the North West.
With a first degree in English Literature she has a passion for the theatre. A former Board Member of the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster, she is now an active Patron there.
Caroline is a keen walker and loves exploring local Lancashire and Cumbrian fells.
Last but certainly not least, she relishes time spent with her two bright and energetic teenage boys.
